Jonathan Lee

Jonathan Lee, the break-out drummer of Sweetie, lends the band his iconic 90s funk/ska stylings.

 

He explored music at an early age with the help of family and steadily joined bands ranging from emo to ska to old Americana throughout his formative years. Jon briefly took a hiatus from performing music to pursue a Masters degree in Aerospace engineering at Mississippi State while still honing in his unique techniques.

 

Upon his arrival home he was greeted by many offers to get back to performing and decided Sweetie fit his preferred style. Since joining the band, his talent has helped the three piece broaden itself into multi-genre twists on classic hits and modern wonders and has become a staple of his local drumming community.
